 | Corps now receptive to Nassawadox Creek dredging |
EASTVILLE -- Just weeks after a volunteer team composed of nearby
residents, Coast Guard Auxiliary, Virginia's Eastern Shorekeeper, local
legislators and others dredged a navigable channel at the mouth of
Nassawadox Creek, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has contacted county
officials to proceed with a long-underfunded federal channel project at
the same location.
